I build businesses, design & code websites and help other people get more business on the Internet. I took a risk in quitting my day job in August 2010 to do this full time, so far so good!
Ask my wife and she’ll immediately concur that I’m an ideas person. Some people come up with big ideas to build a business that’ll change the word, and then there are people like me that come up with those ideas daily. Of course I’m not saying all those ideas are good but nonetheless they are ideas.
Ever since university I’ve been dreaming of starting the next YouTube, Facebook or Etsy. Not that I want to compete directly with those sites, I want to create something new, something that’s never been done before (or poorly implemented if it has).
To me there’s nothing more exciting and captivating than reading or hearing about a business success story. Whether that’s a freelancer, a small business or the story behind eBay or about Google. What makes these stories even more compelling is if the person behind the business came from the most unlikely of circumstances (the same reason I loved the movie Slumdog Millionaire, even though it wasn’t about business per say).
Hand in hand in this is my medium term goal of overseas mission work. Helping people in developing countries to build real sustainable businesses that can function by themselves.
UpsizeMyPay.com is a blog about a lot of things, but mainly focused around business ideas and information on how to start your own business. Now and again I’ll promote affiliate products which I believe in, but for the most part this website is not here to make money, but to provide helpful information.
